This fascinating print technique can use a variety of surfaces and textures to create the plates that will be printed. We will see the different varnishes that can be used to protect the plates to give different results. We will also experiment with hand printing as well as using a press. The prints will be made on paper and fabric using fine printing inks that you will learn to manipulate to give rich results. On this five day course many different surfaces for printing are included and the use of “chine colle” or how to include multiple surfaces into your printing techniques
