Val started exploring Lithography in 2015. In Octobre 2021 we bought an old lithography press made by Eugene Brisset de 1850. Now with this marvelous old machine in the studio gallery Val can really explore this technique. She uses it to push her pictural understanding of the image. Taking one image further with different applications of stitch or paint to discover the possibility of relationships and abstractions possible from one starting point.
In these works I have included lithography with collagraph plates to explore the textures that I may find around the image
